beabadoobee lands a UK No.1 album with 'Pylon'
The alt-rock-stacked record gives her a second consecutive chart-topper in Britain, according to the Official Charts Company.
beabadoobee has taken the top spot on the UK Albums Chart with her new record 'Pylon', as confirmed by the Official Charts Company. It marks her second consecutive album to debut at Number 1 in Britain.
The album leans heavily on the alternative world for its guest list. Deftones' Chino Moreno appears, alongside The 1975's Matty Healy and George Daniel. Vocal features come from Turnstile's Brendan Yates and Hayley Williams, while Rick Rubin served as co-producer and Title Fight's Shane Moran picked up writing credits.
Musically, the record trades in fuzz, intimacy and a clear affection for the emo and alt-rock traditions that shaped her. The breadth of collaborators helps explain its scope, moving between heavier moments and quieter ones without losing focus.
The chart result follows 2024's 'This Is How Tomorrow Moves', which also entered at Number 1. To mark the occasion, the video for album track 'Write Me A Letter' has been shared.
