What this site collects, what it does not, and why.

Short version

This outlet uses no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no ad network and no third-party tracker. When you open a page, your browser talks to no domain other than this one.

We do not store your IP address, we ask for no sign-up, and we have no way of telling who you are.

Cookies

We use two cookies, and both store choices you made: "idioma", with the language you were reading in, and "tema", with your pick between the dark and the light theme. They exist so your next visit opens the way you left it.

Both are functional cookies: they do not track, they are not shared and they never leave this domain. Neither one says who you are.

You can delete them in your browser settings. The site keeps working: it goes back to opening in the dark theme, which is the default, and to guessing the language from your browser settings.

Visit counting

To learn which stories matter and where readers come from, we record each page view with four pieces of information: the page address, the language, whether the visit came from Google, Instagram or directly, and whether it was a phone or a computer.

Nothing in that record points to a person. No IP, no cookie, no identifier. Two visits by the same person are indistinguishable from two visits by different people.

Weather in the top bar

The forecast shown at the top of the page is for the city you are browsing from. To work out which one that is, our server sends your IP address to a geolocation service and gets back the city and its coordinates, then asks Open-Meteo for the forecast.

Your IP is never written down anywhere. What is cached for 30 minutes is only the result: temperature and city name. We chose this route precisely so we would not have to ask for your location through the browser.

Videos

When a story has a video, the page first shows only an image with a play button. YouTube is loaded only if you click.

That is deliberate: until you click, YouTube does not know about your visit and none of their cookies are created. Once you do, the video loads from youtube-nocookie.com, and YouTube's own terms apply from that point on.

Outbound links

Every story links to the original publication, and the footer links to our social media. Following any of those takes you off this site, and whatever happens there is up to whoever runs it.

Fonts and images

Typefaces are served by this domain, not by Google Fonts. Story photos live here too. That was a performance decision with a welcome side effect: one fewer party knowing about your visit.

Your rights

Brazil's data protection law (LGPD) guarantees that you know what is done with your data and can request access, correction or deletion.

In practice, since we store nothing that identifies anyone, there is no record of yours for us to show or erase. If you would still like to discuss it, write to sociais@remyzdrojeski.com.br.

Changes

If this outlet ever starts showing ads or using a third-party measurement tool, this page will be updated before that happens, and a consent notice will appear, as the law requires.
